Australia-based Facet Amtech has been awarded government funding towards upscaling manufacture of its proprietary catalyst, used in the production of zero-carbon ammonia by non Haber-Bosch pathways.

Enabling ammonia’s next industrial era: A novel air and water to ammonia process
Facet Amtech is developing a world-first process for producing ammonia directly from water and air using a newly-discovered catalyst. The approach is compatible with a highly scalable plant design, without relying on dedicated hydrogen production by steam methane reformation or electrolysers.
