Women in Ammonia Lunch

Since its debut in 2022, the Women in Ammonia (WIA) initiative has grown from an informal coffee break to one of the AEA Conference’s most anticipated programs. What began as a small networking opportunity has quickly evolved into a platform for meaningful dialogue, professional growth, and industry collaboration.
At the 2025 AEA Annual Conference, the WIA Luncheon will take place on Tuesday, October 21 at 12:00 PM at The Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria. This year’s program is designed not only to bring women in ammonia energy together but also to shape the long-term future of WIA as a member-driven initiative aligned with the AEA Strategic Plan.
Why attend?
The luncheon offers a unique opportunity for connection and impact. Each table will be guided by a designated leader to spark introductions and facilitate conversations. Attendees will take part in a collaborative exercise, Designing the Future of WIA, where you will share insights on mentorship, knowledge-sharing, cross-industry partnerships, and professional development. Your feedback will directly inform the coordination group’s work and shape WIA’s structure for the years ahead.
Participants will also hear remarks from Linda Dempsey (CF Industries, AEA EVP President Elect) and Vibeke Rasmussen (Yara, AEA President), reflecting on the WIA journey and outlining next steps. The session will close with key takeaways from each table, a group photo, and a clear path forward for involvement beyond the conference.
Outcomes you can expect:
Expand your professional network within ammonia energy.
Influence the direction of a growing initiative that strengthens diversity and collaboration.
Be part of a community committed to mentorship, innovation, and advocacy.
Seats are limited to 60 attendees, and registration is required through your conference ticket.
