The Industrial Transitions Accelerator has chosen Brazil as the first country partner in its “Project Support Programme”. Four renewable hydrogen, ammonia, fertilizer and methanol projects have been selected to receive support in advancing towards FID. Also in Brazil, developers Fuella and Yamna have launched renewable ammonia production projects in the Ports of Pecém and Açu.

Prumo and Fuella: renewable ammonia production in Brazil
Ammonia developers Prumo and Fuella have secured land in Port do Açu, Brazil for the development of a 400,000 tons per-year renewable ammonia production plant. Set to come online in 2030, the ammonia produced from the integrated facility will be used both locally and for export to Europe.
EnBW acquires equity and offtake rights in Norwegian renewable ammonia project
German energy company EnBW has acquired a 10% equity stake in the SkiGA project, as well as securing long-term offtake rights to the renewable ammonia produced at the Norwegian facility. SkiGA will be completed in 2026, producing 100,000 tonnes per year of renewable ammonia.
Allianz invests in Norwegian renewable ammonia production
Allianz will invest €20 million in Fuella, a Norway-based project developer currently working on two renewable ammonia production projects. Fuella’s plants in Skipavika (100,000 tonnes per year) and Korgen (200,000 tonnes) will utilise renewable electricity from Norway’s grid to produce ammonia. The projects will target the marine fuels & fertiliser sectors.
