In April 2025, the pair agreed to collaborate with the city of Pohang, South Korea to deploy a 1MW, ammonia-fed, distributed power generation system next year. The partners already have plans to scale up the installation to a 40 MW system by 2028-29, providing ammonia-fueled, carbon-free electricity to clean electricity-hungry customers in Pohang. Supported by national legislation that aims to accelerate the rollout of zero-carbon distributed power generation in the country over the next 5-10 years, Amogy and GS E&C are targeting a critical, potentially lucrative market in South Korea. Join us to learn more about the partnership, and related…

In March 2025, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) acquired Netherlands-based LBC Tank Terminals as part of a strategic move towards a “total chemical logistics service system”. The pair will leverage an impressive joint array of logistics infrastructure, working to unlock expanded future flows of ammonia. Meanwhile, Yara and MOL are ongoing partners in a series of first mover marine ammonia fuel projects, including time charters, to ship-to-ship bunkering demonstrations, and development of ammonia-fueled vessels. Learn more about the trio’s plans to connect to the full ammonia energy value chain.

Presentation

The region is a hotbed of activity in the decarbonized ammonia and energy transition space, with project developers looking to leverage existing infrastructure, expertise and an experienced local workforce. This conversation features a number of organizations at the forefront of this regional movement. Join us on our opening afternoon to hear what makes the region an attractive prospect for developers, what local alliances & groups are doing to help streamline project development, and what future role Southeastern Texas and the wider Gulf Coast region can play as we move towards lower-carbon ammonia production.

Presentation

The Dampier STS ammonia transfer trial yielded a number of important learnings and findings. This presentation also looks at the location of the ammonia transfer within the Port of Dampier, and how the current outer anchorage layout is well-suited for ammonia fuel bunkering.
