Ammobia has raised $7.5 million for its modular Haber Bosch 2.0 technology, combining proprietary catalysts and sorbents for low-temperature ammonia synthesis. In New Zealand, Liquium has raised NZ$2 million to validate its novel ammonia synthesis catalysts under industrial conditions. And US-based geNH3 has also raised seed funding for its patented Calcium-mediated technology for ammonia synthesis, targeting 5 kg per day production capacity by mid-April.
Under a new agreement, ACWA, EnBW, Rostock Port and VNG will establish a new renewable ammonia and hydrogen corridor between Saudi Arabia and Germany. The corridor will see ACWA’s renewable ammonia from Yanbu being exported to Germany via the Port of Rostock.
To be managed by the European Investment Bank, the grants include €35 million to Norwegian company Scatec for its under-development Egypt Green project in Ain Sokhna, with FID expected in the coming months.
GreenH has taken a final investment decision on its Slagen renewable ammonia project, plus two other electrolytic hydrogen projects on Norway’s coast. Nel ASA has been chosen to supply electrolyser technologies for Slagen and a series of electrolytic hydrogen projects in Norway, and will add a 1 GW production line for its new “Next Generation Pressurized Alkaline system” at its factory in Herøya.
