ADNOC has announced $2 billion in infrastructure funding for key export enablers in Al Ruwais, including roads and a new port with dedicated chemical terminals. The new port will enable the export of CCS-based ammonia from 2027, with ADNOC’s plant currently under-construction.
Meet Woodside Energy to explore the new Beaumont Clean Ammonia Project. Located on the US Gulf Coast, phase one will have the capacity to produce 1.1 million tons per year of ammonia, utilizing gas feedstock. Lower-carbon ammonia production will start in 2026, when Linde will supply hydrogen feedstock to the facility with ExxonMobil to offtake the carbon dioxide associated with Linde’s hydrogen production for transportation and permanent sequestration.
Avina Clean Hydrogen announced that it has been issued a final air permit for the facility, clearing a key set of environmental and regulatory hurdles. The project has already secured pre-certification under the EU’s RFNBO standards, as well as South Korea’s official Clean Hydrogen Pre-Certification program.
