In April 2025, the partners made a final investment decision and agreed to a joint venture structure for the Blue Point mega-project in Louisiana: a $4 billion facility which will have a nameplate production capacity of around 1.4 million tons of CCS-based ammonia per year. Topsoe will provide its SynCOR Ammonia™ process (including autothermal technology and ammonia synthesis loop) for the project. Explore the journey to date for one of the world’s leading transitional ammonia production projects, and how all the partners have aligned for operations to commence in 2029.

Ammonia/Sea water interaction still contains critical knowledge gaps that prevent us using consistently existing consequence modelling tools. ARISE project is specially designed to improve this situation. Despite important logistic and scientific challenges, ARISE project is progressing well and should reach final deliverable Q2 next year.

The AEA’s Ammonia Certification System has made steady progress since our 2024 annual conference, where we explored design decisions made in the development of the pilot system. In this session, we provide a full overview of the System as it enters pilot operations. Audience members will find out more about joining the pilot, more details about how the certificate registry will be used, and how the System can be utilized by companies along the ammonia value chain. The combined presentation covers two sections, including a registry walk-through with MiQ, and then a stakeholder discussion section featuring Envision and Tolero H2…
