ACME has selected two Chinese technology providers for the first phase of its renewable ammonia project in Duqm, Oman. Beginning in 2027, 100,000 tons per year of renewable, RFNBO-compliant ammonia will be produced, with Yara to offtake the full volume.
Announced in December 2024, Shuangliang Group was the first successful bidder to provide electrolyser units. The pair had been working together since December 2022, and Shuangliang will provide multiple alkaline units for the project. Shuangliang’s product range now includes the 5,000 Nm³/h SLZQ-5000.
And this January, ACME announced that Sungrow Hydrogen will provide multiple sets of its 1000Nm³/h electrolyser for the project, with the units to be delivered this year. Last July, Sungrow Hydrogen announced that it will provide an undisclosed capacity of alkaline electrolysis for China Energy Engineering Corporation’s multi-molecule production project in Jilin province.
