Recently, Fertiberia opened its first renewable ammonia production project in Puertollano, where part of an existing ammonia plant is decarbonized. Nel – a European and US based electrolyzer manufacturer – has supplied the PEM electrolyzer system for this project. Due to increased demand for electrolyzers, Nel has also announced a scale-up of its manufacturing capacity to the GW scale.
